In a an old book I have written by Gregg, it is called a Gimp feather. The recipe for a Gimp fly has been a good fly for bluegills. I would guess it would be good for trout, Will have to try it on trout. Need to get the book out and tie some.

Do you have any other phesant? they all have about the same type
of feathers. Try a Golden, or a Silver, or even an Ameherst(sp)
