I have a funny jpeg I took some years back of Kathy at a show trying her hand at a simulated fishing gadget. Don't think they sold many of those. Probably from the 7 Springs show in PA. -murf

Orange, Yellow, Starling, Crow !!!! the fish don't care. Somewhere in my rat pack of stuff, I have a packet of some I made up years ago before I got a JC neck. My JC neck came from Barry Beck when he and Kathy ran Becky's Fly Shop in Pa.

This is where your crow or starling feathers come in.
Take a small feather the size you need for the size fly you are tying. With white paint put two spots of white on the feather like they are on a JC nail. On the outer spot, put a spot of yellow in the middle of it. A faux JC nail.
