Tony, Matt is a very nice guy isn't he? To bad we weren't able to make the Wildcat Sat. night BBQ happen. I guess without Jimmy and Jeff, it's a washout. Apparently, Matt and his buddies had brought food for that, but....... I ended up taking Ron, his wife, and Okie out to diner at a Chinese joint. Mayabe next year we can get back to the traditional Sat. night BBQ at the Wildcat. BTW, is it true you are retiring from heading up the show? I sure hope not. mark.....

Jack,
I just want to mention, the guy with the loose hackles was not Conranch Hackles, it was another hackle dealer.
How did you do Monday morning on the river before you left. Matt came over to the house and Denny and I had a nice visit with him.

I don't want to cast any aspersions on the feather salesman there - Gray Drake Hackle? - but all of those skins were unpackaged. My advice to you would be to put them, and anything else you buy like that, into ziplock bags and put them in and out of the freezer several times over the next month or so. Again, no aspersions, but I've already done this with the hackles I boiught there. And I look forward to seeing him again, when I have more cash in hand.

Valerie and I got back from the Sowbug Roundup at 9:00 pm last night. We had a good time, and i learned a few new tricks as well. Valerie
outspent me on flytying materials $82.50 to zero. this year however,
I packed up here feathers and put them away in a drawer so the dogs
wouldn't decide they were playthings like last year.

Some of you may notice that this a new e-mail address for me. I'm
trying out the gmail account for the list. My old address at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] is still active and will reamin so.
