For the swap, I'll be tying a yet-to-be-designed spey or dee on a 6/0 hook,
but I'm out of gut... besides, I'd have to dremmel-drill off the eyes for them
;) I won't be starting too soon, as I still owe the life cycle swap (oops, but
all but 1 spinner are tied) and the go-to swap (at least the due date is in the
future, but have yet to even start that one) ... I'm dealing with my dad with
some funky altzeimers- like thing called "sundowners" ("who are you at night?"
syndrome, as my wife and I call it) and mom with ovarian cancer in stage 3, but
over 400lbs so can't have operations. Sorry for not writing back much, but
life has been rough of late... working odd 12-hour shifts while trying to care
for my folks. Anyhow, just between us, ya' know? I'm funky about that stuff
being public... Hope to get out for opening weekend, but as of now it's
looking bad - I have the licence, and have had it since late december, but have
yet to use it. No, wait, that's not true - on the way home from work one night
I was irked that I wasn't getting home til 11pm from work, so I decided to make
2 casts, just to say I went fishing. Obviously caught nothing, but I was still
able to get to the water this year :) I'll do everything in my power to have
those flies done by january. I am also hosting that team colors swap...
Hopefully things will settle down by then, one way or the other. Horrible to
think that way, but I dislike seeing parents in pain and stuff. ANYHOW! Keep
in touch and talk with you soon. OH! And I *may* not have to do that
conference in toronto during the CJ... no promises, as I have NO clue what is
up with my folks, but at least it looks like I won't have to be in toronto.
Not to get your hopes up, but thought I'd mention it. If things pull through,
is that tent- space still free on the lawn?
Well, back to work after this dinner... yay... if only I were hourly instead of
salaried, i'd be rich! ;) And I wouldn't have a wife griping that I'm never
home... Well, it's just to get the vaccines manufactured by the end of may.
