Haven't posted in a while...

I was finally able to get out fishing this past weekend. I went with a
friend and his daughter to a "nearby" river (the Kern) for a little climbing
and fishing. Spent Sunday fishing a small creek feeding the main river. We
have had prodigious amounts of rainfall this year and the "creek" was quite
impressive. Nonetheless, I was able to coax out several small rainbows from
the deep pools (Czech nymphs and various beadheads).

It looks like there is going to be a LOT of water for many California
streams and rivers this year. The Lower Owens is already at summer flows
(almost two months early). I never thought that I would say that I can't
wait for autumn so that I can fish (I know that there ARE other rivers in
Cali...but the Low O is my fav).

Hope that everyone else is getting their fish on...

Chris
