I don't know about you, but the members of the VFB are a very important of my family. You have given Jody and me comfort during some very trying times, "healthwise" over the last three years. You made a tremendous difference in Jody's ability to cope when she was undergoing breast cancer radiation and chemo treatments. She'll never forget her Rainbow Angels, the 50 fly tyers who tied a special fly for the "Jody's Courage Swap", which was fostered by List member Rick Zieger.
I guess what I'm getting at is that I'd like to see a little more Tom Foolery and banter between members. There's an old saying that all work and no play makes Jack a very dull boy. I'll paraphrase that by saying that all techincal stuff and no fun poking by members, makes the VFB a little Dull Too.
So, I'm going to start it off by doing a little "Fun Poking"
DonO, you and Nick need to come up with some more alter egos. Turn them loose on the VFB.
Murf, your IOFF swap is more complicated than the NCAA BCS formula.
Larry sends me videos that only a MIT graduate could open.
Deb sends me jokes that are too risque for the Joke Club.
Byard signed my new Oil skin VFB cap with disappearing ink.
Alan F. needs to make his comments to me online instead of offline. Don't sweat it Alan, you won't embarass me.
Rick catches more fish in an hour than I catch in an entire season. I really wonder about that ;-)
The VFB Renegades have quit renegading. Well all except me.
If you don't like what I've just said, you can take your fly rod and GO FISH!
