OK, DonO's being vague about this. I've looked at the picture and it's indeed a trout/salmonoid of some sort. *Correctomundo The problem is that the photo is bad and somewhat blurry. *Sorry- pocket camera scanned into pc as jpeg. *All pics of ufo's and uso's are taken blurry, don'tchaknow. Info is needed to make an ID from a photo like that. 1) where was the fish caught? *N. Platte River, Wyoming, Gray's Reef 2) Does the fish have a cutthroat marking? *No Are the spots ALL black? *Yes Or are there other colors? *Vague shades of yellow on fins, rest pearl white, just slightly darker on top. Do the spots have holo's? *No HAlos's, unless you meant holographic spots- no also. You cannot tell from the photo. It appears that the leading edges of the fish have a tinge of white? Is this correct? *Yes Also what are the sides of the fish like? Silvery? *Pure pearl white Any rainbow colors or red? *No Is the skin fine like a char? *Reg. scales like a trout Or a little course like a true trout? A lot of hybrids out there. and some fish take a biologist to ID and sometimes they even debate the issue IE: Dolly Varden/Bull trout. OK, DonO lets have some answers. This is fun.
