Hi Joyce...real simple fly actually and the first pattern of my own
i came
up with after i started to tye...
PBS
I usually use a
#8 streamer hook (insert personal preference here..)
Tye black thread
from the eye to the bend...
Add some elk hair (or long deer hair or
moose..) The hair should extend
about a half inch past the
bend.
Then some peacock hurl for the body.
Finish off with wraps of
grizzly hackle.
I've tied these down to a size #14 and they work just
as well.
When things get real slow in Vermont, this is the fly i
go to..
