Rob,
I am getting on the plane for the mainland in a while but when I get back in two weeks I could put together a packet of things if you still need it then. Please let me know after the 23rd.

Subject: [VFB] Can A Few People Help?
To all listers:
To start with, I'd like to say that this isn't my normal type of post as you all know, but here it goes:
A good friend of mine who I have been teaching to fly fish could use a little help. He's been tossing a rod for about a month now and got some unfortunate news yesterday. I know, blah, blah, blah...
He has to undergo surgery to have a couple vertebre in his neck fused and will be pretty much unable to move about in any real fashion for a bunch of weeks so he asked me to teach him to tie. Give him something to do at home for the 2 months or so that he will be at home recovering.
He went out and bought a beginner set of tools (you know the type) and what materials he could afford. I gave him a bunch of spare stuff but wondered if anybody had any spare materials they could donate to the cause. Old hooks, fur, hair etc...I figure if he could gather a hefty set of tying materials he may actually get pretty good at this by the time he's able to go fishing again and we may just have a new member to the group.
Just wondering if some folks are willing to help. Let me know off list.
Thanks in advance!
Rob P.
