I have gotten a number of request for my pattern, so I am resending it to the list. Also, anyone care to post a pic of it for me that has good photo taking skills??? I'll send ya a few and then you can take the pics and post them for me. I have had a few request for the flies, and I am working on them. It may be a bit for I can get them sent though, next day off is next Thursday.

Del's B.B.S.H
#14 Curved Nymph Hook of choice
  Matching Gold Bead
  Fluorescent Green floss
  Black thread; #8/0
Barred Rock Hen Saddle Hackle, or Soft Hackle of choice

Tying instructions:

    1. Put bead on hook
    2. Put hook in vise
    3. Attach thread, lay a good base from bead to bend
    4. Tie in floss, laying along hook shank for a good base
    5. Tie off thread
    6. Lay floss down in even wraps from bend to 2 bead spaces from eye to form a  some         what fat, but tapered body (use like 4 layers)
    7. Whip finish floss
    8. Slide bead firmly against body (you may want to add a dab of cement here)
    9. Reattach thread in front of bead and lay a good base
  10. Tie in hackle as you would for any soft hackle, but against bead
  11. Take 2-3 turns of hackle against bead, and 1 in front of those two
(your choice really, I like both sparse and full ones, both work well)
  12. Tie off hackle and clip
  13. Form neat head and whip finish.

I know that this seems like a lot, but it really isn't. Basically it is a fat soft hackle with a bead between the hackle and the body. I have no idea what it imitates, nor do I care. It works when nothing else does.
Let me know how it does in your area.

PS. If you have trouble with it, let me know and I'll send you one.
