The scene is Sparks Lake (the traditional 'Ray Atkinson' [famed scenic
photographer] viewpoint). Sparks is a lake near the top of the
Cascades just west of the ski area Mt. Bachelor. The peak in the
background is South Sisters.
The lake has brook trout, but is more popular with canoers, kayakers
and sailors than fishermen. Hosmer Lake is about ten minutes drive down
the road.
