Chuck,
As you just discovered, the stop is an important part of casting. We
can tell you all about it and tell you how to do it but you in time
will learn your own way of doing it. The best way is to have someone
work with you but that is not always possible.
Work at it and ask questions, if you can make the Sowbug next March, we
have free casting instructions along with free beginning tying
instructions.

Tony: Thanks for this post... I am having casting problems too,
and now I
think I see one of my main problems.. Jimmy Moore gave me some
great off
list pointers, and said the same thing, go back to the 1 o'clock
position..
I was out this morning, watching myself, and sure enough, I'd go
back to 9
o'clock (or maybe 10 o'clock and back bounce it off the water
first LOL,
then SNAP if forward like a circus lion trainer... I slowed down,
went to 1
o'clock, and it wa smuch better, Thanks, Chuck
