Well....I am very fond of #18 yellow humpys for my brookie holes but you know they are a bit testy to get just right at that size.  At least you didn't finish all of yours and find out the inventor was submitting it too.

OTOH, #14 Adams tied with a slightly exagerated wing and a quill body overwrap does wonders.  If using hair, try tying wing in light gray or else use a med dun hen hackle tip, full width.  Wingers are great but Byard has some hen while we wait on Whiting.

No worries, my signature fly is being tied in its place even though this pattern is a bit time consuming.  Might even tie a second set of emergers I find very effective.

Heck, if I don't run out of hooks, I might tie and send 3 sets to make you guys feel real guilty since I am not a fast tyer.  Should have bought those Eagle Claws from Tony by the thousand instead of a few hundred.  Of course, Byard has hooks on sale at www.linesend.com , I have a gift certificate, and I still want some other stuff.

That's only 105 flys, less than 10 dozen, not even a gross, less than one flybox.

Early submissions? The pressure hasn't even started to build
yet...i'm trying to figure out exactly what to tie nd still haven't
decided...July 31 is fortunately 2 weeks AFTER summer school
