Guides won't let you keep any because it's their job security. If you're
not catching fish, you won't be talking up the trip to your friends.
The bears, birds, predator fish, drought, and worm dunkers / gut hookers
already kill enough. Look up the info with the Game and Fish as to how
many thousands are stocked every year.
On the rivers, I won't keep any. On the lakes, I may keep a few.

Gary: Thanks for the invite.... I'd be in "heaven" in "Sunfish Heaven"
LOL... That is a BIG fish on that page... I tell ya, the sunfish (On the TV
fishing shows etc) do NOT get the credit they deserve... MOST boys and girls
who are now fishermen... first fish they caught was a sunfish.. But, ya
can't pay the TV bills with a little hook, and redworm.. Gotta plug those $8
bass lures I guess, and $30,000 boats etc... Thankfully Flyfishing is
gaining a vast following, and I saw two shows just last night.. One was
"Fishing the Grren for Browns" where they were fishing the famous "Green
River" for Brown Trout... It was an awesome show.. They said that river has
21,000 trout per mile of river.. Thing I couldn't figure out is that they
said the creel limit is three per day, and most guides won't let ya keep
ANY.. And most all the fish they caught were small, which is what happens
when ya don't harvest SOME fish... Anyway.. My wife talks to ppl in
Wisconsin (and every other state) every day as a long distance operator, and
she said she gets lots of Wisconsin calls to that city, looking fo rfishing
outings etc.. That would be awesome.... Maybe some day.. I can hope.. Thanks
again, Chuck
