I think I mentioned this before,
here in Germany it is not allowed to fish C&R, only catch and keep. But
we have size limits as well. Fish is too small and has to be released,
to big as well. But when I have my limit kept, it is clear, that the
next fish I'll have to release. I'm not allowed to do this, therefore I
have to quit fishing.
The reason is, that I'm not allowed to hurt an animal without reason,
one reason is that I'm hungry and want my catch for dinner. To play the
fish and release him is not legal.

I can follow their logic as many fish do not survive C&R. I also like their too small and too large rules for a variety of reasons. The only questions I have for you are the following;
With the rules in place, do you believe that there are enough fish in these waters? Are the fish reproducing naturally? If your answers are both yes, maybe the rules are wise. If no......
