102; Intermediate fly tying, (nymphs, wets, scuds, etc. down to 16)
103; Advanced fly tying, (dries down to 24, ways and nymphs as well)
104; (Elective), Master fly tying, (realistic as well as flies down to 32)
201; Basic Materials, (manufactured, packaged goods)
202; Adaptive Materials,(pet hair, craft goods, dryer lint).
203; Intermediate Materials, (road kill, hunting buddies, etc.)
204; Advanced Material acquisition, Elective, (Your name is on the bulletin
board of every outdoor shop and the game and fish department has you on
speed dial for road kill game).
301; Aquatic Biology, (what fish eat and why)
302; Entomology, (not buggery)
303; Life cycle characteristics of aquatic life.
304: Philosophy of Fly Fishing, (I think like a fish, Therefore I am)
Electives:
401; Outdoor Travel; (how to spend 4 week vacation not being on the same
prime trout water more than 3 days).
402: Outdoor Travel 2; ( how to do 401 and every day be on different Prim
Trout Water).
403; Outdoor Travel 3; (How to do 401 on $50 a day)
404; Outdoor Travel 4; (How to do both 401 and 402 on $50 a day).
404; Custom Rod Building, Fiberglass
405; Custom Rod Building Bamboo
Just a thought,
Jimi
No no, fly tying is a way to save money! Just think about all the
flies you would have to buy whenever you lose them on an oyster bar,
mangrove tree, or coral head (or whatever fly collecting objects you
have in your local waters). Overall it's a good economic
value...Really...No, seriously, I mean it... ;->
