Chuck,
A place where you can find some VERY cheap materials is
http://www.flytyersdungeon.com/.
Another tip for cheap but good materials and tools is to check out eBay. I
have bought both my vise and my Metz hackles (both capes and saddles) from
eBay stores. I've also bought much in tools and threads there. On many
products there is a "BuyItNow" option, so the items can be ordered just as
you would from a regular store...without the auction hassling, but still
much cheaper than retail price and. I made an eBay search for 'fly tying'
and here you can check out the 1157 items:
http://search.ebay.com/fly-tying_W0QQsojsZ1QQfromZR40
Check also out the additional 2263 items from the eBay stores (BuyItNow
options):

When it comes to hackles, consider also the Conranch ones. The hackles are
good and come to very good prices...or as Dennis Conrad, himself, says:
"that won't break the bank".

Check them out on: www.conranch.com

VFB LISTERS...
Help Chuck with tips, hints and answers and LET'S MAKE HIM A FANATIC!!!
