I was first turned on to Lone Star Beer by Red Garland the legendary (Miles Davis Quintet in the 50's) Jazz pianist from Dallas, in 1977 i think it was. He came to work at the club with his trio, where i was the house sound man in San Francisco, the Keystone Korner. I ended up recording it all and it came out as a live album. Boy did Red love his Lone Star.......etc, lmao. Red was a boxer (prize fighter) by trade, before making the right decision and after having been kidnapped (litterally) to be taken on the road, so he'd come to his senses and leave the fight game alone. What a beautiful cat. Yáll do some homkework and check him out. mark.....
