We frequent the Mountains in Western North Carolina.  It is absolutely soul reviving for my wife. I can no longer accompany her. Fortunately, my daughter is in Asheville, so she hikes with Diane. Long term prognosis.  Learn to live with it !! JG Jerry,     Where in NC are you ? I fish lower NC  when I go for trout, around the Cashiers area.
