Jim: Thanks... I brought the vises up side by side, and the Master does LOOK like a better vise.. Also, since I'm buying it in a kit, there is only $5 difference... I think I'll go with that one, and if not satisfied, go Back the home Made one I made and am using now that I KNOW will hold hooks all the way from a # 1/0 to a size 24 or so... Thanks, Chuck

Chuck,
IMO the "AA Vise" would serve you well but I think I would opt for the Master Vise. Along with the extra jaws it looks like it has better thumb screws. You're only talking a difference of $15.00 between the vises.

Once again just my opinion

Subject: [VFB] Cabelas Vise ????

Can anybody tell me the difference between the Cabela's "AA Vise" and their "Master Vise"?? "Master Vise" according to the site and catalog.. is higher in price cause it has three sets of "jaws" vs the one set in the "AA Vise".. Do these jaws really give me a wider range of Hook sizes??? or will it just mean more that can "break down"??? Only thing I need to tye are bream (bluegill), bass, and crappie flies, so will the AA meet my needs or should I get the "Master" with the three sets of Jaws???? Thanks in advance...I tell ya, I'm gonna order a "kit" tomorrow, one way or another, but with a VERY SLIM wallet LOL.. Trying to decide is harder that I imagined LOL.... Chuck
