Jim: Thanks... I brought the vises up side by side, and the Master does LOOK like a better vise.. Also, since I'm buying it in a kit, there is only $5 difference... I think I'll go with that one, and if not satisfied, go Back the home Made one I made and am using now that I KNOW will hold hooks all the way from a # 1/0 to a size 24 or so... Chuck,  IMO the "AA Vise" would serve you well but I think I would opt for the Master Vise. Along with the extra jaws it looks like it has better thumb screws.
