Mike is doing a lot better health wise.  He's going through another
transition now but I think you'll be seeing a lot more of him in the future
at the shows.  His disposition is improving lately also.  ;0)  His sense of
humor is returning full force.  Look out!  He's looked very good the last
few times I ran into him.

Hi Mark,

Well, you find a familiarity in the look/style of my Carrie
Stevens/Rangeley style streamers -- Mike is a friend (and mentor). 
And you're right, in the world of streamers, he's 'The Man.'  He is
truly a major character,  and his first impression persona belies his
wealth of knowledge in many areas - WWI & II buff, rock &  blues
history, hockey, wine...  and the guy is a complete stitch in a social
setting (his analogies, stories and one liners are to die for).

As for his health, he's fine now and was at the Somerset show this
year.  (on a related note, Don Bastian is also recovering nicely)
