John was on his first true fly fishing trip in 40 years to the Wind River.
Each morning and afternoon he watched the same old fisherman catch many
trout, measure them carefully and then release them till one caught his
fancy, (normally a very small trout).

As he enjoyed his time on the river, catching many 18 to 24 inch trout he
continued to see the old fisherman. Finely on the last day he had the
gumption to approach the old man. "Why is it that you continually catch such
large fish and release them only keeping a couple small ones each day" he
ask.

The old man looked at him with steely blue eyes and said, "My cast iron
skillet is only 8 inches across".....
