A friend of mine came down for the weekend from ABQ. Bill said that he had some "Stuff" for me he had "Salvaged". He showed up with his Volvo full to the brim. Seams his work has been upgrading a lot of stuff and the employees got first shot at it.
Over the last 2 days we have built me a new computer, 600 Mhz CPU, 2 25 gig skuzzies, CDRW, CD, and 160 meg of memory. I feel real up town now. He also brought down 2 plotters, a 24" and a 36". We got the 24 married to "Igor", (the new computer), and got it on line. First thing I did was load my topo software and get all the other programs I like loaded. Now for the best part. With my topo software I can seam maps together and create a "Big" topo of anyplace I want in NM. So, I have been working on a map of the San Juan. I centered it on Bloomfield and it runs 10 miles to either side and 7 miles either side north and south. Nice part is I can print out a 24x36 custom map of where I hope to fish in 2 weeks. Next I plan on the Rio Ruidoso River and the Pecos trout waters. Hay, if nothing else, they make great wall paper around the tying bench.... Having to much fun when I cant sleep...
