Where are the scientists lately?  I have some tippet that is quite old and
have no problem with it (horsing 4-5lb fish on 6-7x sort of stories).
Thinking back, I seem to remember that UV rays to DEET has been discussed as
having an affect on tippet.  Hans (where is that man?) has stated his
disdain for floro, claiming it takes forever to disintegrate.  Now, some of
my ancient Orvis material did go bad but it was 20+ years old.  Another
thing, I clean things up and store them in a locker when not fishing.
