Sounds cool, glad it was good, I hope I have a good time on the San Juan.

This is another topic, but is still about fun. My cousin, from Australia
came to visit. He's been a fly fisherman for many more years
than I, and fishes in Australia, Tazmania, and New Zealand.

We went fishing on Big Hunting Creek in Maryland, also Owens Creek. Both
near Thurmont Maryland. The fish were incredibly
accomodating. John, from Australia, said that he had never seen so many
fish in one place in his life. Every pool was stacked up.
The water was clear as glass. The fish were very selective, so we didn't
catch a bunch, but having 1-3 lb trout of three species
jumping full length out of the water can't help but pump up your juices. I
caught two 2 lb fish, a rainbow and a brown; Peter caught
a lovely 8inch brookie, and an 18 inch brown; John caught a couple in the
12-18 inch range. We all caught about 20 other fish
each, but these were the standouts.

One of the fun items was that this was the first time John had encountered
blue gills. Fun at first, but when they take the fly just over
the head of a big brown, it gets frustrating. But great fun. We fished all
day, and didn't need to go more than about 100 yards on
either stream to keep catching the whole time.

Maryland rocks!
