Pull out enough line so you can sit comfortably away and put the noose over the rodents hole. When the rodent pops it head up or part of its body, just set the line and reel it in. Be sure to reel fast so the rodent doesn't try to run up your leg. (It's really funny when it happens to your friend.) Use the length of the rod to keep it at bay and dispatch it.
