Good idea.. I have some craft beads that would look just like that "belt" (forget the scientific name for it right off).. But, I will have to study more on the worm that a SJW is supposed to imitate, cause there is a red colored worm, that IS natural to lakes, rivers, and streams, that the fish THING the red worm is, so they eat it instead... I tie a double red SJW with a loop in one, and sometimes with small red or yellow beads- all very efective on the N. Platte in Wyoming.  Coffee-colored (w/cream) ones work well also, especially on the Green River.

Rene: I see. yeah, I raise redworms and they have BOTh male and female sex organs, but it takes two to mate, and thay mate by matching at that "belt" the egg forms ther, and then is expelled and the eggs hatch in about 21 days, so i guess the more reaslistic, the better huh??? Thanks, Chuck
