While Byard and I are friends, he has NEVER asked me to promote Line's End. I do so because his business offers a great value and I shop there as a satisfied customer. No, I don't get a better discount than any other paid-up member and would not expect to.
Yes, Byard has been fishing a bit lately but he puts a lot of time and money into the VFB. His lovely daughter has been helping out in the Line's End "shop" when he is and he has a cell phone if she needs his help. Bottom line; the orders get to you fast.
Being a cheap consumer, I am sensitive in not paying more than I need to obtain tying products. That being said; you won't get a better deal anywhere than Line's End.
A $50 order gets free shipping at Line's End. How many know the game of making profit on shipping? Some shops make an extra 10% or more. Byard doesn't do that.
Additionally (to all the specials, discounts, free shipping), by joining the VFB as a paying member, you get a discount and your choice of hat or gift certificate. It's a great investment.
