Amazing how far medicine has come in just 10-20 yrs... or less, Chuck

Deb,

I am glad I read the rest of this post. For a minute,
I thought you were talking about me !!! :-)

Actually I escaped what could have been a serious situation because I did
not ignore a symptom. I was supposed to be at the FF@ BassClave this past
weekend, but by partner could not go and I did not want to drive to Virginia
by myself. Would have been Yakin' on the James and wading the Maury for
smallies.

Had I gone to BassClave, I could have ended up in a world of hurt.

I finished with my usual workout on Thursday (50 minute Spinning, followed
by some AB work and some stretching). and noticed I was very tired and while
not out of breath, was sort of sucking O2. Just did not feel right.

So called my cardiologist office to tell him I was on my to the ER and left word with his secretary that I would be need an angiogram on Friday morning.

Fortunately all the tests at the hospital were negative, but because of my
history, the doc said lets have a look. Did an angiogram on Friday AM and
sure enough a stent that had been put in 7 years ago was VERY occluded. They
popped in new one (they are now coated to ensure no restenosis) and I was
home yesterday afternoon. Further good news, in checking out the rest of
the heart and the other previous stents everything was good.

Would have been interesting to have had chest pains while paddling the JAMES
River in Virginia!! All better now.

Leaving Wednesday for a week on Martha's Vineyard and the Southern Mass
coast.
