It's very difficult to understand how an improved clinch knot can untie
itself (not break). The only, remote, possibility I can think of is that
the material has too much stretch and so relaxes and loosens after the
knot is completed.
Several solutions come to mind: (1) leave a longer tag end, thus
thwarting any tendency to untie; (2) after tying the knot, take the tag
end and make a simple overhand knot on the main line behind the clinch
knot; (3) pass the line twice through the eye before tying the clinch.
