I believe that is the standard. I have the McKenzie, love it.
It is advertised to fit .37" vise stems.
On my bench I have a large Ott Light that I really like with no
magnification.
For a travel light I have the McKenzie.
The shaft on my Dingo vise is .392 so I did have to drill out the block so
it would fit. I'm not sure but that may be 10mm. ?? .03937 = 1 mm.
Tony & I drilled out 3 bases for larger stems while I was visiting him
during the Sow bug. If I remember we used a 10mm drill bit to open up the
block to accept the larger than 3/8" shafts.
