Bad part is almost all the flies that produce on the San Juan are 20's or smaller. What I have is suitable for 12's, maybe 14's and larger, that includes the hands. Jimi
For your purposes, in tying midges down to #28, I would suggest starting with 14/0, 16/0, or the Spider's Silk. Byard should be able to get you any of these.
