I still swear by Gordon Griffiths 14/0 which I coerced Byard into stocking at Lines End. George Harvey's pal used to carry it until he retired. It's thin, strong and doesn't build much of a head. As far as the X/0 comparison, some believe it should be 12/0 but it's the only thread I tie with for flys under 14-16.
