I got up to 181 books not counting any Art of Angling Journals or magazines.
Those are the ones I actually have in the book shelf. I won't chase down
the ones I have spread around the house in different stages of reading.
My husband has a few more but I'm not allowed to touch his. :) If they're
any good they get confiscated. I try to avoid any action that would have
him digging through my book shelf reminding him of where his money is spent.
I had to donate some of the books I had to UFT when he got a little upset
about the piles I was still sorting through from buying a friends
collection. I still wonder if some of those might have been really good if
I had had a chance to read them. :) Our tax lady actually told me that
since I teach fly tying I could write these off as a business expense. My
husband almost choked. If we go down that road I'm sure we would have the
IRS knocking at my door. VBG How many years can you be in the red anyway?

Subject: Re: [VFB] Hackle ???/buying books

Just in my office there are 28 boks on fly fishing and fly tying with
another 25 on general fishing. then at home there are the books that
I continually consult, abnouyt another ten or so...and I've only
bought one book (Harrison Steeve's book)since I bought the 3rd edition
of Tom Nixon's "Fly Fishing & Fly Tying for Bass and Panfish" in the
fall of 2002. Much o my collection has been garnered at garage sales
and at library book sales where they were selling books being replaced
or no longer carried on the shelves due to low interest.
(Both the Calcasieu Parish library system and the McNeese library have
such sales every year).
