Yes, I've used mono sewing thread as tippet...it stretches a little
bit more than the tippet material I usually use, but of late it seems
that tippet has gotten scarce in town...i needed some more Saturday
and all I could find was 12 lb saltwater tippet...seemed a bit large
for bluegills...
