Chuck,

Byard has some very nice lights at Line's End and brought me one to try out.  Very good price, fits on the vice stem great, does fine and Tony recommended it.

Now, unless Byard has already chastised you, I hereby wag my finger at you.  We all know this list exists based on Line's End surviving, that the VFB does not permit advertising of others with competing products (no advertising period is the policy), and Byard has posted notice of this.

Now, go take that light back and buy one from LE, say 3 hail Marys, and practice your proportions.  Buy some wingers while your at it as I might buy him out soon.

Subject: [VFB] Fly tying Bulbs
Date: Sat, 6 Aug 2005 12:59:01 -0500

A while back we were talking about Tying lights etc..Our Lowes ran a sale on the lights with the 4 inch diameter, 3X Magnifier, and light, with a really heavy base, and fully adjustable for only $18.99.. so I snapped one up..It's a (draw item, cause they only had about 6 in the whole store, like cheap bananas they run in Grocery store to get ya IN the store.. One of the oldest marketing tricks in history) But normal bulbs were horrible.. Well, last night I bought a four pack of Phillips brand of "Natural Light" in incandesant type bulbs.. They are supposed to be closer to "outdoor Daylight" cause they have the blue spectrum that other types of bulbs lack.. They worked GREAT.. It is just like tying outside on a clear day, and only 1.97 a 4 pak... Hope this ain't considered advertising., cause it ain't just giving a tip on an easier way to see what you are doing I just wanted to tell ppl to try this type bulb..Or know that they are good..(at least to MY eyeballs they are LOL) I'm sure they are sold my many companies, and all over, they are blue tinged in color... I just know it made it much easier for me to see what I'm doing, HTH, Chuck
