Hey Tom: Want to drive down here and wade/cast dries for some Browns on Thistle Creek??
Larry J..... >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 7/31/2005 10:20 PM >>> The ice, the rubber and the knee thing did the trick... and there was also water in the ferrule as expected. Thanks, guys. This has been a brutal week for my fly fishing possessions. Cell phone lost (only family and fishing buddies have the number), Powell rod lost, ferrule stuck on my Scott.... and in my post about the Yellowstone trip I forgot to mention that the second and only other rod I brought on that trip, a 5 wt. St. Croix Legend Ultra ALSO broke while bringing in a 22 inch Cutthroat... The tip ferrule had drifted up a bit and neatly snapped off a half inch off the butt section... but I was able to push the tip section over the broken end and continue fishing. What a week...
