both sewing shops and craft stores usually carry craft furs, but the craft stores usually have a better selection of colors (at least here in Louisiana). I frrequent the craft & sewing stores a lot here in Lake Charles, LA, since the closest fly shops are either 120+ miles east (in Baton Rouge) or 120+ miles west (in Houston). you just have to use your imagination...
At the moment I'm working on an article for our local fly club's newsletter on materials from sewing and craft stores (complete with pictures of materials). When I'm done (probably some time next week) I'll post it up on a web page someplace in pdf format for those interested.
