I'll second Jeff on the Skip Morris Book, another good starter book is "The Art of Tying Flies" I don't remember who the author is but I know that wal-mart carries it for around $20.00
Jim,The only one I was able to find on Amazon with a similar name is "The Art of Fly Tying" by
Claude Chartrand. Is that the one? Amazon has it in Paperback (only) for $ 16.97.Sounds interesting from the on-line "blurb" (but "blurbs" always sound interesting).
