Hi everyone, Sorry for the use of the list for this, but some people have either not replied or have had e-mail bounces regarding the "team's colors" swap. As there were only 2 sets of flies received, plus my own set, I'm willing to replace people (if it is ok with the other tiers in the swap) if any of the new members to the list want to try their hand at a swap. I have been late in submitting flies to several other swaps myself, so I don't hold any grudges against people. Still, I'd like to know whether I should continue waiting or if I should send the flies as they are and return the flies that weren't swapped. If everyone in the Team Colors Swap could reply, that would be much appreciated.
On a different (and somewhat off- topic) note, for those who are into weaving -- especially hair- hackle weaving - there is an eBay auction for george grant's "art of weaving hair hackles" book. I personally prefer Gordon McKenzie's (Brittish gentleman) method and book, but then I haven't read George Grant's book. Regardless, the auction is Item # 7178129791 . To make this SOMEWHAT relevant, I have to ask if you have tied hair-hackle flies, what species you fish them for, and what you think are the benefits or downfalls of using hair- hackle versus the "normal" rooster hackle we often find.
