Jim Turrall markets a Temple dog fur but I believe it's fox fur. I don't think they killed the dogs. I just think they left a few naked patches. :) With Arctic runner though I think they probably do skin the ponies. From what I hear that is part of the reason it's called Arctic Runner because in this country PETA would have a fit if you sold it as horse hair. If I remember right I think it was Dick Talluer that shared that tidbit with us at a salmon tying class. Regards, Deb
