Jerry: I sold on eBay from 1999-2004 (Have over 1100 pos feedbacks as
you_wear_it_well as I LOVE Rod Stewart Music and I sold clothing LOL)...
Anyway, I quit cause both ebay and Pay Pal fees got tooo high.. If you just
wanna unload the stuff, it isd a great avenue, and YES, I do/did take
PayPal, cause almost everybody who buys on ebay has an ebay acct and it is
an easy and quick way to get your money.... I also took checks and/or Money
Orders, but stated in my ad that checks had to clear BEFORE merchandise
would be shipped..... And I used the "buy it now" a LOT, cause I like to put
a price on something, sell it, BAM, get on to the next item.... Another way
tocut down on fees, and make more profits, it to sell your stuff in big
"lots"... That way the fees don't nickel and dime ya to death, and you don't
have to keep up with as many auctions... Do NOT expect to get even 50% of
the real value of the items, cause ppl (buyers) are just like ppl who go to
flea markets (they go to get a bargain)..... But, you can unload the stuff
if your price is right, HTH, Chuck

Also, don't jack up postage too much, Just actual costs and maybe packing
material actual costs, ppl are very turned off by unusually high S&H, and
even thought it is in the ad, they will leave a Neg feedback AFTER they
bought it KNOWING what S&H was before they even bid....

Subject: [VFB] E-Bay

Listers,

Some time ago several listers mentioned they were have real issues with
E-bay and/or PayPal.

Finally finished cleaning the garage and storage unit. MAJOR DOWNSIZE.

I have all sorts of stuff to sell.

Is E-bay still the best way to go ??
If yes, with or with out PayPal ?
If you do not use paypal, what is the best way to get paid.
