I'm with the guide, in the link below. The game warden blew it as far
as I'm concerned. This and what happened to a good friend of mine, who
recently had his boat, motor and trailer lifted from the ramp parking
lot, while he and his fishing buddy went to lunch in his buddy's car.
When they got back and found the pick up, minus boat and trailer, they
stopped by the guard house and were told that the game warden
confiscated the boat, motor and trailer because the motor didn't have a
serial number on it, i.e. they suspected it was stolen. My friend
tried to tell them at the impound yard that that model Mercury motor
didn't have a visible serial number, because it is located on the
underside of the powerhead. He'll get his boat back, for he has bill of
sale, plus title and affidavits from the two previous owners about the
authenticity of the motor. Of course, the Tx Game and Fish Dept is
making him wait, while they try to figure a way to save face. Pisses
me off "big time".
