Wes, Bend back hooks are a saltwater hook that has  a flat spot behind the eye. TMC and Mustad both used to make them. They are used to make Whitlock's Sheep Minnow, although he prefers bending a TMC 9394 4xl hook to get the bendback design. Hope this helps a bit. Kevin S>
