Peggy and I had a wonderful visit with Mary Dette when we were there in
June. She is a very sweet lady. I have some memorable pictures of her &
her tying station. Very special trip!
I'm glad I got a chance to meet her. I just missed Poul Jorgensen. I never
got a chance to meet him.
I did send some friends over to NY to say hello to you Tony! I hope they
remembered. They did come back and tell me they met you. I was so
disappointed that I had to teach that Sat after I found out they were going
to Roscoe but I did catch my first Rainbow trout on a fly rod Saturday so
all was not lost!! He was a very bright 9" fish caught on a black bead head
wooly bugger I was teaching the students to tie that day. WOO HOO!!!!
I'm still trying to figure out how to land a fish gracefully on a nine foot
rod when I'm only 5'3 but at least I'm catching them now. :)
.....Blue fish are more fun..... Now I'm in trouble.

You mean there is another TONY SPEZIO??? I don't think the world is ready
for two !! Sounds like a very worthwhile and poignant trip. I am glad you
shared this. A lot of the younger tiers may not recognize the names of Mary
Dette, or Poul Jorgensen. Thanks, Tony
