Ima; Use your imagination, I was at the New York State Fair last month and walked through the poultry show. I was swooning over these birds. So many different colors and textures. Even just the variety of hackles was amazing. Many for normal use but even more for flat wings on streamers and cut wings for mayflies. They had a strain of miniature rooster there that had the absolutely best looking hackles for upright wings I have ever seen, one cape would have many hundreds of feathers going all the way down to midge. Some of the crest feathers had very bright colors and long fibers which would make good bodies or ribs and the wing and tails could be used like duck wing. They also had a lot of marabou like downy feathers which could be used for muddlers and emergers. I would like to get a hold of a couple of these pelts just to try out, especially those miniature roosters!!

I am not writing often for less time with more flies. We have many chickens that are used for feathers and eating. Does any one have tips for other parts for the chicken? It is not good to waste. This is making flies much easier and less cost but I still need many flies this month. It is possible that I can do a swap soon.
