Folks: I'll tell ya how a front can affect
fishing... My wife, kids and I have gone fishing every evening but one this
week.. Caught HUGE Bluegill, and shellcrackers... even a cpl small bass..
Everyday, caught 8 each or more fish.. Then, yesterday afternoon, a front came
through at almost EXACTLY 5:30 pm Central time, fish just QUIT.... I tried
everything in my fly box, Nothing... Went back to that same lake today.. Not
even a nibble... Left there, and went to another lake about 15 miles away,
Nadda, Zilch.... This (not bragging, cause panfish are in the gazillions at
these lakes), but this is the first day I've been totally "skunked" since last
Winter... It went from the mid 70's for a low on Wednesday night, to 52.4 here
last night, so that did it.... So, I guess until the temp and/or barometer
stabilizes, I'll stay home this weekend and watch NASCAR (which will run just 23
miles from my front door this weekend. I Gradyeeated Talladega High School, but
will NOT be at the race, cause 200,000 fans are a bit much for my blood LOL),
and My Beloved College football... Warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Eagle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
