Sorry to be so late with today's quote, but have been hauling hay since early this morning.  Still not through.  At least two more trips to make, but I'll do one tomorrow and the other next week.  Got the hay to my cattle just in time.  The 100 + degree heat we had for the last two weeks really put the hurt on my pastures.   What was beautiful, lush green pasture is now tan and very short.  Not growing and cows eating it down to the nub.

In case any of you are interested, the quotes I've posted for the last couple - three weeks have been taken from "I'd Rather Be Fishing" compiled and edited by Kathryn Zullo.

TODAY'S QUOTE:

"The banks of a river are frequented by a strange company and are full of mysterious and murmurous sounds - the cluck and laughter of water, the piping of birds, the hum of insects and the whispering of wind in the willows, so much of fishing lies in imagination. "
