Rodney et al,
Sincerest apologies. Never expected to work 136 hours in a week the other week (slept 4- 8 a.m. except the Wednesday that ended last Friday @ 4 a.m. and the preceeding Sunday I slept a bit late), and 2 of my adult kids had surgery the past few weeks, then thank Lina for insisting on re-checking the IOFF flys (yes, a few errors from this tired dog). No excuses. Everything checked (so many times I could spot any fly from 100' without glasses and I can't read a road sign at 20), labeled and ready to mail today (it's 2:30 a.m. and I'm working on a client still).
Need to call and visit my kids and parents whom I've neglected. Haven't visited anyone, spoke to very few that weren't clients (Byard's call to me was the longest as I needed a friendly chat when he called and told me about his trip), and totally had but a few minutes every few days to check my VFB email account.
Plenty of little extras for the IOFF swappers as an apology and I'll see what's left to share with the Mayfly group as the only thing left to do is seal envelopes and drive to the post office. Have been doing some fun things with the flys, web page pics, stuff you'll all get a glimpse of. My only recreation this past month has been to place 2 little Line's End orders (just past the free shipping $50 mark) for "stuff" I won't get to use for a while. Bought 2 more inserts for my C&F fly boxes and a C&F flip box is expected any day. Had to delete most posts from the VFB on subjects I would have preferred reading about these past 6 weeks and hope I didn't D any directed at me.
Sitting in a chair in front of the phone and computer has made my back very stiff so I doubt I'll be entering any new swaps for some weeks until I
get some excercise. Somehow, I lost 20 lbs the past month, probably from not eating. Did drink a record amount of coffee but not a sniff of libations since late August when a good merlot was opened.
Well, saw some great low-cost products for tyers I stumbled upon by accident and might ask for a show of hands for any who might want some of these cool toys. One is a clear tube you can store a bunch of saddle hackles in like Byard uses. This allows you to take a large selection of hackle on trips. Each end has a cap so the bundle exits and enters butts first without hassle. Also, thread tubes, tiny parts boxes and all sorts of neat stuff. If the interest is high and price low enough, I'll send samples to Byard to consider for LE.
G'night,

Hello everyone,I was really hoping that I'd receive Murf's flys by today so I could get them sorted and sent off to you all in tomorrow's mailing, but no such luck... I'm taking off next week... Going to do some fishing up on the San Juan River for the week... Will be leaving here Monday afternoon and won't be back till late Saturday evening... My deepest apologies guys... I was really hoping to have all this done by now... You guys have tied up some fantastic flys that I'm really anxious to try up there on the San Juan, but they're all going to sit in their boxes till they're all sent out to you all so you guys have a chance to try them also... I'm also including a little surprise for you all, a new creation of mine called the "Snohomish Black & Red Ringneck"... I think you'll like it...MURF!!!!!!!!!!! Where's your flys??????????????????????Rodney...
