Just on e-bay looking at some books and came across this item

Auction #6570147893

This is a signed set of "Rare and Unusual Fly Tying Materials" by
Schmookler and Sils. I know folks have mentioned this on the group and
how difficult it can be to get. This is both volumes (1 and 2). I do
not know if both volumes are signed. Current bid is $150 and they say
the reserve is not met. Anyone with deep pockets might e interested.

Thanks for that Peter:

The worst thing about fly tying is that there is always something that
absolutely we must have, no matter what. When you get it there is always
something else!!!!!!! The never ending story.

I'd have to second that motion - the Benchside Reference is amazing
for newbies and oldies alike. Not quite sure where I fit in, except
that it is SO helpful at providing a zillion pictures of MULTIPLE ways
of doing something. Great buy! I've seen it for 65 or so US$ online,
but you have to look for it. If you think of it as 2 books (price-
wise) it's worth that and then some! I've only browsed 'Tying
Emergers' at the shop but it also looks to be a great book. Again, I
don't have it but it's next on my "to purchase" list of books. Of
course, finances limit the list's rotation, but it's still on there!
I've seen some books on Byard's site, including the Fisherman's
Entymological reference (I always mix up the name, so if this is
bogus, sorry), which is an AWESOME reference that I keep going back
to! I don't know if it's in stock still, but Byard had two of them in
the discount/ specials area for quite some time. 55 or so, if my
memory serves me correctly, but it's been a while since I looked at
them. Which... I think I'll do right now :)
Tight wraps,
Pete
